We had planned to wait till we made our trip to Seattle to do Ellee’s baby blessing. But we felt like we should have it done in Japan so that the many people that have helped us around Ellee’s birth could be part of the blessing.
We LOVE our ward (church) here. I mean, even though most people don’t speak much English, they still try their best to still show they care and say “Hi, how are you?” A few members don’t have cars, and would take the train out of the way to come drop off meals, or help clean my house, or play with the kids to give me a break. They are such great examples of patience and good parenting too. Quite a few families have 6 kids. In Japan, that’s amazing! We’ve thought about extending our stay in Japan just because of the wonderful people in our ward. It will be hard to leave.

I love this baby blessing dress. I designed it and my wonderful mom sewed it. She’s amazing like that. It’s made of gorgeous textured silk and has beautiful embellished lace. Careese was blessed in it and now Ellee. Definitely an heirloom.
