Trip to Tokyo in Jan

I know this is a late post but I really really wanted to get this photo album up cause of some of the ice cream we encountered on this trip. We went to an indoor amusement park called Namjatown (by the Namco people) in Tokyo, and there’s a whole section dedicated to ice cream! all kinds that only Japanese would come up with.

We love when we get US federal holidays off cause it usually means that the rest of Japan doesn’t have a holiday and we can go out and about with less crowds to worry about. We were going to make a trip to Tokyo Disney but it was too cold for the kids. I think Mark and I would have fun, but the kids probably would be complaining the whole time. We had a free hotel night from Starwood hotels, so we made it a two day trip to sight-see around Tokyo. Something we wanted to do for a while, but haven’t had the time to do it with kids in tow. But with spending a night in town, we save time and energy schlepping kids on the train in and out of Tokyo. Other than the incident with Careese’s head and my DSLR’s LCD, it was a good trip and the kids did ok overall. I’d give them a B.
