siblings

I got into looking at baby photos this evening. I was putting together Careese’s baby photos to be made into a book on Shutterfly. There was a slickdeal for a free book, but as I was making it I found out it wasn’t a deal for a hardcover book like I thought. Oh well, I’ve got the photos uploaded and ready to make into a book the next time I find a free book offer.
Well, anyway, it got me looking at all my babys’ newborn pictures and all those memories and feelings of meeting them for the first time came flooding back. And for a moment I forgot about all the craziness they can be now, and I remembered how sweet those moments were when I realized that I’m absolutely in love with this little baby; that they were mine and I was theirs, and nothing in the world could change that. I looked at the pictures of Mark holding each of them for the first time, so happy and so adoring over them. Now I look back and I see how much he’s grown to be such a wonderful father. It made me realize how much we’ve grown as parents. But it’s also given me a new resolve to do better and to make sure my kids know how much I love them, even when I’m tired and cranky.
I’ve been stressing a bit lately about finding fun, exciting things for them to do on base and in Japan. But now I feel that it probably doesn’t matter to them as much as having a good time with mom and dad, and they probably won’t really remember the places we go to in the long run.
Well, here’s some photos of them as newborns. See if you can tell them apart. They really do look like siblings. And they make me so happy.

You two have a very cute brood! I love Ellee’s hair in the top picture.

Have you been to Enoshima aquarium yet? We might go sometime soon. Our fish lover put in a request to see the dolphins. There is also Zoorasia(in Mitsukyo), the Anpanman museum in Yokohama, a play place at Ebina station, a petting zoo at one of the parks between our house and the base(I’m not sure where but people have mentioned it). I’ll see what other stuff I can find, I’m also looking for a farm to go to and show Edamame the chicks.

Oh and for Japanesee stuff, you can always ride the Enoshima En no den line and see the Temples and giant Buddah in Kamakura. Hakkone is a little far, but with a fun train ride and a pirate ship ride you can’t go wrong, if you’re up for a bit of a long day.

If you want to go to the aquarium with us let me know.
